How should i wash my silk items?
Care Instructions for Your Pillowcase
1. Preparation:
- Turn the pillowcase inside out before washing.
- Always use a washing bag to protect the fabric.
- Wash colors separately to prevent bleeding.
2. Washing:
- Use a pH-neutral liquid detergent specifically designed for delicate fabrics, such as silk detergent.
- Select a delicate or hand wash program at 30 degrees Celsius.
- Avoid rubbing the fabric directly on stains.
3. Drying:
- Do not spin dry or tumble dry.
- Air dry by hanging the pillowcase. For faster drying, place a dry towel in the spin cycle to absorb excess moisture.
- Do not wring the pillowcase.
4. After Care:
- Iron the pillowcase on a low setting, inside out, to maintain softness.
Additional Tips:
- DO use silk detergent for optimal care.
- DON'T use fabric softeners, shampoos, or conventional detergents.
Following these guidelines will help maintain the quality and longevity of your silk product.
How often should i wash my silk items?
For optimal hygiene, we suggest washing your pillowcase every 10 to 14 days. This routine helps keep your sleeping environment clean and fresh.
Is washing at 30 degrees enough?
For best results, wash your silk essentials at 30 degrees. This temperature is sufficient to clean and kill bacteria, thanks to the 99.7% antibacterial silver ions in the fabric. Use our washing bags and pH-neutral detergent to protect your items. Avoid higher temperatures, as they can damage the silk.
